Teak Cleaner – Golden Care 1 Litre
This water-based formula is designed to clean and restore discoloured, dark grey teak and hardwood. It functions as a high concentration cleaner while also incorporating brightener ingredients that revive the original colour of new teak or hardwood.
Unlike many competitive brands that require a two-step process involving separate cleaning and brightening products, this solution simplifies the task by combining both functions into one product. Additionally, Golden Care Teak Cleaner is classified as non-hazardous, offering a safer alternative to most other teak cleaners on the market.

How to Use:
1. Before using the teak cleaner protective eye equipment and rubber gloves should be worn.
2. First moisten the furniture with water
3. Shake Teak Cleaner before use
4. Apply Teak Cleaner with a soft cloth or sponge > Allow to soak for three minutes
5. Brush the furniture clean with a scrubbing pad in the direction of the grain
6. Rinse furniture well with water
7. For prolonged colour, leave the furniture to dry and then treat with Teak Protector

Please Note: Teak Cleaner removes old finishes and restores your furniture’s original colour. Once cleaned, you can choose to apply Teak Protector for a rich Honey Brown tone or Teak Shield for a warm, natural finish, depending on your preferred look.

Teak Protector is an innovative treatment for teak that is easy to apply and lasts a long time. The treatment protects your teak and keeps it looking great by retaining its natural warm brown colour. Teak Protector doesn’t let your teak turn black or grey and lasts the entire season. Plus, it provides 100% protection from the sun.

Why is it so much better than teak – Oil / sealer:
It maintains the golden-brown colour of teak for a longer time
Teak Oil often causes the black spots on teak. This protector prevents black spots.
Most teak-oils / sealers contain hazardous solvents. This protector is completely water – based and solvent free.
How to Use:
1. Before using the teak protector protective eye equipment and rubber gloves should be worn.
2. Gray Teak or teak treated with teak -oil must first be cleaned with Teak Cleaner
3. New Teak: first clean with Golden Care Teak Cleaner, to remove natural teak oils ( or weather for 2 weeks outside before treatment)
4. If cleaned wood feels rough, sand lightly. Make sure teak is 100% dry
5. Shake and Stir Teak Protector
6. Test Teak protector on a small area first (eg. back of leg on table) to judge if the colour meets your expectations
7. Apply a very thin layer of Teak Protector evenly over the furniture with a dust free cloth. ( We would also recommend using a paint brush for an easy application)
8. Apply a second very thin coat 30 minutes drying time
9. It is highly recommended you treat your furniture with teak protector at least once a year

Teak Shield (Transparent) Golden Care 1 Litre
Teak Shield is used to make teak resistant to water and moisture. Teak Shield, a naturally water-based product, helps protect teak from food and drink stains. It is an almost invisible wood impregnator that makes it difficult for substances like wine, olive oil, butter, and coffee to penetrate the wood. This ensures that after a meal, the teak table can be wiped clean with a damp cloth without leaving any stains.

Transparent / invisible finish therefore you can maintain the natural colour of the timber while it also being protected
How to Use:
1. Before using the teak shield protective eye equipment and rubber gloves should be worn.
2. New Teak: first clean with Golden Care Teak Cleaner, to remove natural teak oils ( or weather for 2 weeks outside before treatment)
3. Before using the Teak Shield on dark grey teak, clean the wood with a teak cleaner. If cleaned wood feels rough, sand lightly before treating with Teak Shield.
4. Make sure the teak is 100% dry and free of dust
5. Shake bottle before use. Apply a thin layer of Teak Shield with a soft cloth
6. Allow to dry for 4 hours and then apply a second thin coat of teak shield
7. Let the teak dry for 48 hours before exposure to moisture
8. It is recommended that you treat your teak furniture with Teak Shield a few times per year.
