Drawers keep chargers and glasses out of sight: choose from two or three drawers in Brittany, Montana, New York, California and our white Hamptons and Coastline designs. Open designs leave room for books and baskets, and the Brittany two-door cabinet hides the lot.

Getting the Height and Width Right

Ours stand 50 to 75cm high and measure 45 to 65cm wide. As a guide, choose a top close to the height of your mattress so a lamp or glass is easy to reach from bed. In a tight room, a 45cm-wide open bedside table leaves space to walk past. Larger rooms suit the 65cm-wide California, with two drawers. Allow room in front for drawers and doors to open fully.

Mango Wood and Rattan, Each with Its Own Character

Most of our wooden bedside tables are solid mango, finished in a warm honey tone, so even a matching pair shows two different grains. The Raffles range is hand-woven from rattan and cane, light enough to move when you vacuum and soft on the eye in a coastal or relaxed room.

For a lighter look, the Hamptons and Coastline pieces are finished in white. Mixing materials across a room helps a bedroom feel collected rather than bought in one go.

Looking After Bedside Tables

A slightly damp cloth is all mango needs, plus a coaster under your water glass. Brush rattan with a soft, dry brush, then wipe with a barely damp cloth, and keep it away from heaters. Clean white finishes with a damp cloth only and keep them out of strong sun, which can yellow the paint. Our furniture care guide has more detail.
