Rectangle, Square or Round Outdoor Dining Tables

Balmoral is our simplest teak outdoor table, with clean lines and the widest choice of sizes in rectangles, squares and rounds. Maui is round only and sized for smaller spaces. Mandalay has a bold cross-leg frame and suits a longer setting.

A rectangle seats the most people and lines up neatly along a deck edge or wall. Square and round tables suit courtyards and squarer patios, and nobody ends up stuck at the far end of the conversation.

Choosing the Right Size

Every table stands 75cm high. Rectangles run from 150 x 80cm to 240 x 100cm, squares from 80 to 150cm and rounds from 80 to 160cm. The 80cm-deep rectangles leave more room on a narrow balcony, while the 100cm-deep tables give you space down the middle for platters and salads.

Measure the space, then allow enough room behind each seat to pull it out and walk past. Choose seating at the same time: benches tuck under the table, and chairs give everyone a back to lean on.

Why a Solid Teak Table Is Worth Keeping

An outdoor table lives through harsh sun, summer storms and the odd spilled drink, so the timber matters. Teak carries its own natural oils, which help it resist water, insects and rot without a protective coating. Your table can stay out on the deck all year, with nothing on the surface to flake off.

Our teak is kiln-dried to 10-14% moisture before it is made into furniture, so it moves only slightly as the weather swings between wet and dry. Each table is solid teak with stainless steel fittings, and the Mandalay tables are made from recycled teak, giving the timber a second life.

Caring for a Teak Outdoor Table

Every table arrives in the raw, so you choose how it ages. Left untreated, the honey colour turns silver-grey over the first six to twelve months. To keep it golden, clean and treat it regularly, following our furniture care guide. A soft brush and mild soapy water lift most marks and are gentler than a pressure washer.

Small hairline cracks, known as checking, may appear as the timber adjusts to the weather. They are part of how solid teak settles and don't weaken the table. When it needs a refresh, our teak care products include a cleaner and protector.
