Console Tables

A Console Table for the Entry, Hallway or Living Room

Most of our range is mango wood. Phoenix has a parquetry top, Brittany and Chateau add two or three drawers, and California and Montana each offer a version with a lower shelf for baskets or books. Browse our console tables with drawers if you need a hall table that hides clutter.

For something different, the Como console pairs marble with brass or black metal. Our Antique Chinese consoles are hand-picked in pine, so each one is a one-off. A console table also works behind a sofa, holding lamps and books where a side table won't fit.

Choosing a Narrow Console Table

Depth matters most in a hallway. Our slimmest tables are 30cm deep, many sit at 35cm, and the deepest reach 45 to 48cm. Widths run from a 70cm Hamilton to 216cm on one Antique Chinese piece, and most stand 77 to 78cm high.

For a narrow console table in a busy entry, leave a clear path past it and check drawers can open fully. Behind a sofa, look for a table close to the height of the sofa back.

Why a Mango Wood Console Table Is Made to Last

An entry table takes knocks from bags, keys and shopping, so solid timber makes sense. Our mango wood is harvested once the tree has finished fruiting, then kiln-dried to suit the Australian climate before it is made into furniture. That gives you a wooden console table that can take daily use for years.

Every wooden console table shows its own grain, with spheres, mottled lines and tiger stripes, and a six-step tint gives it a warm honey colour. Over time, small marks become part of the patina rather than a flaw to hide.

Caring for Timber, Marble and Antiques

Wipe mango wood with a soft, damp cloth and avoid cleaning sprays. Marble is porous, so clean up spills straight away and reseal it every six to twelve months. Antique pieces only need a soft, dry cloth: never water, polish or oil. Our care guide explains more.
